The sofa is the house object that more than any other is closer to the house itself in term of functionality. It's difficult to avoid seeing the sofa - and the house – as the symbol of familiarity and reception.
Nowadays it is common to see a sofa deserted among rubbish in the streets.
It looks like a small island surfacing from the ocean to disappear after a few days. The sofa among rubbish becomes the private island in the ocean of public life; it is the insertion of domestic environment in the street furniture.

We regard them as survivors, we search for them and when we find them we take possession of them through photography.
This way, the abandoned sofa is brought back to the house in the new form of work of art and its cycle of life goes on ideally.

The act of photographing represents the ideal metamorphosis of the sofa and the symbolic recycling of objects through art.
